Wacky Wednesday: NOMA, R & O’s and falling in mud
On a scale of one to ten, ten being the glamorous-ness of runway shows in Paris, I am a zero when it comes to glam. I am so “real” it’s painful. For example, last Wednesday, JM and I miraculously had a day off that we chose to spend with each other doing all the things we absolutely love to do. After a delicious seafood lunch at R & O’s in Bucktown, I glanced over at the harbor (across the street) and thought, “Oh wouldn’t that be a fun backdrop for some photos”. We began to scale the muddy hill and not more than ten steps in did I totally eat it. Laughing hysterically, I begged JM to grab the camera and at least document what a clumsy thing I was (photo above).
I got my bearings and the rest of the day was magical. We spent the better part of the afternoon at the Lifelike exhibit at NOMA and indulging in a trip to the movies to see Silver Linings Playbook. A day with the best friend is exactly what we needed before plunging back into work.
